Valassis Hosts Industry-leading Panel at Restaurant Leadership Conference
Dynamic use of Data Drives Restaurant Traffic

Livonia,  Mich., Mar. 31, 2016: Valassisa leader in intelligent media delivery, brings insights into the smart use of data to drive incremental restaurant traffic to the upcoming Restaurant Leadership Conference (RLC).

Mark Johnson, Valassis vice president of Team Solutions, who has 24 years of restaurant industry experience, will host a panel at the RLC Innovation Forum April 5 on "Understanding the Process of Applying Dynamic Data to Drive Incremental Traffic."  Johnson pointed out that it is essential for marketers to re-examine their plans and use data to drive improvements in light of declining restaurant visits since 2008 as well as recent results indicating the average restaurant check grew only 1.8 percent in February.1

The panel of marketing experts will demonstrate how the power of data combined with targeting the right customer with the right media is imperative to success. The panel includes:

  • Bindi Menon, vice president, marketing strategy and insights and interim chief marketing officer, Captain D's Restaurants;
  • Andrew Pancer, chief operating officer, Dstillery; and
  • Don Patchell, senior vice president, business analytics, HAVI Global Solutions.

"Creating meaningful interactions with today's on-the-go consumers is the key to driving traffic in your front door," said Johnson. "The marketplace is complex, demanding an omni-channel approach as marketers must integrate multiple touch points into their campaigns to achieve results."

"Disruption" is the theme of the 18th annual RLC. The conference is held in Scottsdale, Ariz. from April 3 through 6, attracting about 2,300 restaurant industry leaders.
