Celebrate Us is the banner for our cultural efforts

We don’t need specific goals or milestones to celebrate at Valassis. We’re proud of ourselves, both as a successful business and as a culture. Our ongoing campaign is dedicated to:

• Strengthening our award winning culture by celebrating successes
• Listening and responding to associate feedback
• Being ambassadors of team unity and inclusion
• Facilitating events and activities that create a fun and meaningful workplace community

We value our culture so much, we repeatedly make strengthening and enhancing it one of our
corporate-wide business goals. And while in some organizations, goals may turn out to be little more
than words on paper, at Valassis we take them quite seriously. In fact, we have cross-functional teams that coordinate and plan over 20 national events each year from contests to celebrations, all focused on appreciating our associates.

We have no trouble mixing business with pleasure

In fact, having fun is one way we inspire, and promoting camaraderie promotes collaboration — something we greatly value. For example, we keep our workplace comfortable — thanks to the suggestion of an associate, jeans are now another thing we value here. The environment is also relaxed — many of our office buildings feature patios and decks, complete with picnic or café-style tables, barbeque grills, Wi-Fi and game tables.

Valassis associates in every function and at every level of the company are encouraged to contribute their thoughts and ideas — and rewarded for them. Leaders across the organization have an open door policy. We are, all of us, on a first-name basis.
